Previously playing hosts to the likes of Wire and Four Tet, the annual Audioscope festival seems to go from strength to ruddy strength. Taking place in the Jericho’s hallowed upper levels, it is an all day extravaganza par excellence.
This years’ lineup doesn’t fail to impress. Anyone aware of the legendary Can will be similarly aware of the bands’ unhinged, shamanistic frontman Damo Suzuki. A legend in his own right, and backed by the excellent ODC Drumline, he is an act that I would deem rather foolish to miss.
As well as this, the excellent Message to Bears and the appropriately hired Listing Ships show the diversity of Oxford’s music scene at the moment.
The full line up and ticket can be found here, with proceeds going to homeless charity Shelter.
