Did anyone manage to get a copy of We’ll Be The Moon in the end? A release as shimmering and summery as it was fraught with both release difficulties and record label tomfoolery; Fixers are to play a rare and intimate gig at the Truck Store next Saturday.
Excellent support will come from fellow Oxfordians King of Cats, with the festivities starting at 5pm, according to the Truck Store’s befittingly tasteful new website.
The poppier edge that the lead singles adopted was reflected in Radio One airplay, and I imagine that Edith Bowman, Fearne Cotton et al have added Fixers to their ever expanding list of bands that are ‘amazing’. The record, however, is commendably different and the band aren’t to be missed live, especially at such close quarters.
If this abnormal sunshine holds up we should be in for a treat indeed. Dare you miss it?
