Fleet Foxes: Album, Tour & New Song Triple Whammy

In a glorious trio of news, Fleet Foxes have announced the release date of their impending sophomore album, the dates for a tour and a new song for you lucky fans to listen to. The album, called Helplessness Blues, will be released here in the UK courtesy of Bella Union of May 2nd and front man Robin Pecknold promised in an interview not long ago that it’s going to be a lot sadder than their stupendous self-titled debut. Blimey!

The band are going to tour the the US and Europe across the month of May with their final show being their only UK appearance on May 31st at The Hammersmith Apollo, London. The band are ridiculously good live, so tickets are sure to sell out quickly. To avoid disappointment do not even hesitate; they go on sale at 9am this Friday.

And finally, to the new track. The song is fairly classic Fleet Foxes: acoustic guitars, beautiful multiple harmonies and a melody which changes a third through. Still, bloody lovely song. But don’t take my word for it, why not listen to it underneath?
