After a successful first outing last year, Gathering Festival returns to lavish musical gifts upon OX4. Last year’s line-up was an impressive one (Dry The River, Bastille, Peace, The Staves to name a few), but the first wave of artists announced for 2013’s installment sets out Gathering Festival’s intent to host an even better bill second time round. Gathering Festival 2013 takes place on Saturday 19 October 2013.
First artists to be announced include London’s hottest contemporary-RnB duo AlunaGeorge; the brilliant, cinematic indie-rock of Local Natives; neo-psychedelic-rockers Temples; B-Town tropical pop stalwarts Troumaca; blissfully breezy guitar pop from Wolf Alice; noisy power-pop racket courtesy of Cheatahs; London Grammar’s engrossing balletic balladry; 60s rock ‘n’ roll revisionists Charlie Boyer and the Voyeurs; feel-good skiffle inspired rock from Ruen Brothers; electro-pop pixie Chlöe Howl; and stripped back basic pop from Kimberley Anne; and plenty more TBC.
