It’s often reassuring to know that humans work the same way here as they do abroad. One unifying example which only further consolidates the belief that the human race mostly have and always will do exactly the same as those before them and, most likely, those who will come after them.
And just as young boys often have to choose between a special birthday present of football paraphernalia or their first guitar at some point in their lives, In Golden Tears’ press release claims that they too “resisted hindering influences such as the local obsession with football” to form a band together. And that football team? The mighty Hamburger SV.
Yes, In Golden Tears hail from Hamburg in Germany and, instead of practising their headers and volleys as wee nippers, have honed their skills at producing moody, atmospheric indie. On April 1st, Humming Records will release the band’s debut single ‘Urban Emotions’ via Rough Trade Distribution, the video of which can be viewed underneath. The single launch will also coincide with a few live tour dates here in the UK.
