Helping the homeless for 11 years, we are delighted to declare that Audioscope is back this coming November. The festival, which has raised £22,000 for Shelter since 2001, will once again inhabit The Jericho Tavern on Saturday 12th November and will be headlined by West Virginian desert rock legends Karma To Burn.
“Other highlights include: Brighton’s krautrock-influenced dance-pop outfit and BBC 6music favourites Fujiya & Miyagi; ATP Recordings star Alexander Tucker, one of the most exciting and innovative solo artists around; Cardiff-based art-rockers The Victorian English Gentlemen’s Club; doom electronica specialists Necro Deathmort, one of the highlights of last year’s Supersonic Festival; and Bletchley’s Glenn Branca-inspired noise band Action Beat, who can feature up to six guitarists and two drummers. The festival also boasts some of Oxford’s best talent in the form of Spring Offensive, The Cellar Family and Listing Ships.”
Orgnaised by Simon Minter and Stuart Fowkes, Audioscope has previously starred sets by Wire, Four Tet, Michael Rother (Neu!), Damo Suzuki (Can), Deerhoof, Maps and Max Tundra amongst others.
All proceeds from every Audioscope show go directly to Shelter. Tickets for the festival are available now for £12 from www.wegottickets.com/audioscope.
