What? Banjo/accordion wielding troubadour. Left-wing political folk. Country folk punk band from Cheltenham. Acoustic tinged pop/folk.
Where? The Wheatsheaf, Oxford.
When? Tuesday 13th December 2011. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets cost £5 adv, £6 OTD.
Why? Franz, when not playing accordion for the mighty The Hold Steady or waxing his moustache, is beguiling fans with his somewhat deranged live-show. The New Yorker’s live routine has been described as “witty, melodramatic, poetic, romantic, and sometimes simply bizarre”. Worth a punt? We think so! Fans of Frank Turner will love the whole line-up of this show, Chris T-T is label-mates with the man and Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun obviously take inspiration from him.
