Ollie Thomas is definitely up there with the best song-writers this city has produced in the past 5 years. Ute were magnificent, and so were The Grinding Young but for reasons unknown (to me at least) both bands called it a day right on the cusp of bigger and better things. Thankfully you can’t keep such a natural talent down for too long, Ollie is back with his new project Salvation Bill and has shared two songs just in time for Christmas! The first is a chamber-pop version of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs’ ‘Tapes & Money’, the second is a wonderful stargazy original named ‘The Grifter’ which features Ollie playing a beautiful cello. . Stream the two tracks underneath (via Soundcloud).
