New Song: Radiohead

Radiohead have released a brand new track, titled ‘Staircase’, taken from a full length performance to be broadcast later in the year.

If this footage is anything to go by, this ‘From The Basement’ session will present Radiohead in their most polished live form, immaculately recorded and presented in swift HD. ‘Staircase’ also features guest appearance from drumming legend, Clive Deamer whose previous credits include drumming for Robert Plant. His jazz chops are in full display here as he spreads his glitchy rhythms across electronic and acoustic percussion; the way he meshes with regular Radiohead drummer Philip Selway is just beautiful.

Typically, the track is great; Thom Yorke’s vocals as pure and as tinged with longing as we’ve come to expect, with the band sounding gorgeously restrained.

Radiohead’s King Of Limbs is currently available through XL Recordings & Philip Selway is performing at this year’s Truck Festival.
