Belfast’s Cashier No.9 first caught our eye at last year’s Truck Festival. Treating the bleary eyed mid-Sunday afternoon festival goers with some truly psychedelic, upbeat indie-pop. The band’s debut, To The Death Of Fun, was released last year to an even spread of congratulatory applause. Praised for it’s lush arrangements, shimmering production quality and – more importantly – catchy, well written songs, the band proved to be one of the surprise packages of 2011 and serious string to Bella Union’s already fine bow. Ever generous to their fans, they have made a resplendent new track ‘Death Of Fun’ available to download for free, just follow the link below. They will also set off on a UK your in early May, including a set at Oxford’s Bullingdon Arms on May 9th.
