New Song: EDM

EDM (formerly known as Early Day Miners) have returned to the roster of Western Vinyl and, to celebrate the occasion, the band have released a brand new song for you all to listen to.

The track – ‘Stereo/Video’ – is taken from there impending album Night People, which will be released later on this year. The band have stripped back their methods of production, enlisting help in the form of engineer Mike Bridavsky (Russian Recording) taking five days at the mixing desk, a real departure from the old days of meticulous self-production.

Combing elements of stripped-back weird Americana and determined punk-rock, the song is a concise example of EDM’s ability to intrigue and beguile all at once. The worrying refrain of “I hear voices” drives the song towards a crescendo of dramatic indie rock guitar melodies and then, suddenly, the song is over, leaving us with enough of a taster to keep us eagerly awaiting the new album’s release.
