Well, if you thought that Girls‘ new sound was impressive, wait until you hear this! WATERS is the new musical project from former Port O’Brien front man Van Pierszalowski and – by gum – does this song have some balls! ‘O Holy Break Of Day’ is the first song to be released from WATERS’ brand new album Out In The Light, which is scheduled for release on September 19th.
Channelling Neil Young at his most visceral, WATERS combine creaking vocals, distorted guitar fuzz and crashing cymbals to create a grandiose rock n roll vibe with catchy melodies to boot. ‘O Holy Break Of Day’ is a stirring, almost anthemic, country-rock tune what you’ll probably want to listen to over and over again.
WATERS will be performing live in London across two dates this September, firstly at The Old Blue Last on the 13th and then at Cargo with one of the most intriguing artists to breakthrough this year, EMA.
