When you think of Scottish music, what do you think of? Forget the middle of the road indie types (Travis, Glasvegas, The View). Forget even the ground-breaking indie types (Belle & Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub). Now, what does that leave? A lot of post-genre bands (Jesus And The Mary Chain, Mogwai, Franz Ferdinand), right? It seems that if you aint hairy or noisy, it’s hard to get noticed as a Scottish musician. Die Hard might be the most un-Scottish, Scotch band you’ll ever hear. Oweing a sound more akin to Brooklyn hipsters Animal Collective, the band formed in 2011, the band spent the first 9 months of the year writing and recording songs in their home studio in the city centre, and you can here the very first fruits of their labour right here.
