New Video: Cass McCombs

He may not be prolific on the same scale as Ryan Adams, but Cass McCombs managed to squeeze out a couple of albums in 2011. “Squeeze” is probably the wrong word, I mean, you squeeze out a business competitor or a massive poo. Cass McCombs delivered two albums last year, and both were fantatsic. Much better than poo. Well, he’s back with a new song, a tribute to the infamous American Army whistleblower Bradley Manning. The video was filmed by director Bradley Beesley, best known for his work with The Flaming Lips documentary Fearless Freaks, in Manning’s hometown of Crescent, OK on Independence Day, allowing Beesley to capture iconic and patriotic visuals that create a mood eerily complimentary to the song.
