Out With The Old(skool), In With The New

This Wednesday, the Oxford O2 Academy will witness a changing of the guard as The Streets bow out, touring their final album, Computers and Blues while newcomers Brother step up as support. This gig is significant for although Brother and The Streets come from different places musically, they share a gift for presenting the thoughts and feeling of the British everyman in a beautiful, albeit straight forward way.

Computers and Blues is a marked return to form for The Streets, led by ever-ambitious Mike Skinner, who possess a surprisingly rich set of hit singles; this evening promises to be a celebration of this iconic UK artist, while ushering in Brother, possibly the only act with the nerve to carry the mantle.
