Mid-February may have crept upon us far too quickly but there are still tons of fantastic bands to go and see this month around the venues of Oxford.
Surely one of the most exciting returns to the city has to be The Streets who are touring Mike Skinner’s new album, Computers and Blues, his supposed last under the alias. This final work is an apparent excellent return to form and with support in the from the fast-rising, Blur-bothering, Brother, this promises to be a highlight of the year, not just this month.
Other highlights are sure to include Wolf People, who bring their psychadelic offerings to the Jericho Tavern on the 18th, and Ray LaMontagne who hits the New Theatre with his pop-centered americana on the 25th.
And of course, there is the usual fantastic selection of local talent to be heard with the likes of Spring Offensive, Gunning For Tamar and The Gullivers keeping up their gigging presence.
