Lanterns On The Lake @ Truck Store This Saturday

Becoming the central hub of the OX4 music scene hasn’t halted the independent music store from extending its reach towards further (Geordie) shores by roping in the Bella Union signed Lanterns On The Lake to perform an exclusive live in-store set this Saturday at 1pm. The band, who played at the O2 Academy Oxford last April, caught the eye of OMB at last year’s Truck Festival and released one of the most quietly brilliant albums of 2011 – Gracious Tide, Take Me Home.

Guillemots Truck-In Store Today

Today, at 15:30, the Mercury Prize nominated Guillemots will play an exclusive in-store session at the Truck Store on Cowley Road. The band are playing at the O2 Academy Oxford 2 later on this evening and Fyfe and Greig will pop into the Truck Store for a late-afternoon warm-up. The band released a new album earlier this year called Walk The River (released on Polydor) after a three year hiatus. Free entertainment? Yes please!
