The Winchell Riots Announce New EP

Purveyors of expansive, space-seeking post-rock, The Winchell Riots, today announced their brand new release, Figure 8s EP, to be released on June 6th 2011.
Figure 8s EP follows the wonderful Red Square EP, which struck a chord with many a reviewer, not least here at OMB and will be released on 10″ vinyl and CD, as well as a regular digital release. Those who pre-order the vinyl will also receive a 5-track download, with bonus live favourite, ‘Kandahar Road’.

Anyone who caught singer Phill McMinn’s mesmeric set when he supported The Black Atlantic earlier this year will be familiar with the EP opener ‘The Man Who Mapped The Oceans’, a gentle and beautiful tale of courage.

To support this new release, The Winchell Riots will play 4 shows in the UK:

June 4th: Croft, Bristol

June 6th: Old Blue Last, London

June 9th: Haymakers, Cambridge

June 11th: O2 Academy, Oxford – TICKETS
