Truck Festival 15 has announced it’s next wave of musicians confirmed for this year’s festival. Today’s confirmed artists include British Sea Power, The Low Anthem, The Temper Trap, Guillemots, King Charles, Three Trapped Tigers and Little Comets. The festival also recently announced that local indie labels Big Scary Monsters and Alcopop! Records will takeover The Barn Stage on Saturday between 4pm and 9pm with Johnny Foreigner, Tall Ships, Brontide, Talons, Gunning For Tamar and My First Tooth all featuring.
The festival, which takes place on July 20th & 21st at Hill Farm, is in it’s 15th year and is adopting a back to basics approach after last year’s disastrous financial melt-down (in which many of those working for the festival and many of the bands who played never saw a penny for their efforts). With Truck presenting something of a jewel in the crown of Oxford’s music scene, we’re all hoping that this change in tactics has extended the longevity of this small, yet unique, UK festival.
The organisers are still accepting band submissions (until April 1st); to apply, bands can send an email with links to 2-3 recordings on Soundcloud or Youtube to: email@example.com. Do not to send MP3s or other audio files or large photos as attachments (these clog the inbox), and please don’t try to send physical packages.
Early Bird tickets have sold out but Weekend tickets are indeed still only £69; they are available now at www.truckfestival.com or at the Truck Store on Cowley Road, Oxford.
