It’s time again for One Note Forever’s essential listening from the past 7 days. Our Track of the Week comes from synth-pop duo Lightning Dust for their recent single ‘Diamond’. Sounding a bit like the less attractive twin sister of The Knife’s ‘Heartbeats’ (but still bloody gorgeous!), ‘Diamond’ is a simple, yet hypnotic, pop song made all the better by Amber Webber’s flawless, earnest vocal performance. Lightning Dust’s new album Fantasy will be released on 24 June via Jagjaguwar. Other tracks we think you need to hear this week include indie-pop perfection from The Pastels; beguiling instrumental experimentation from Dirty Beaches; raucous, rasping post-punk from Creative Adult; and a power pop belter from Hooded Fang. Enjoy!
