Woods are one of those bands who are on the outer-radar of most indie music fans, but not one you’d generally consider as being right in there, inside the inner-circle of peoples’ top current artists. However, whilst firm fan favourites come and go (so long Girls, we’re gonna miss ya!) or just become a bit shit (take a bow of Montreal), Woods remain. And they aren’t simply rising stock in the face of crumbling competition, they are actually getting better with every release and new single ‘Cali In A Cup’ does nothing to buck their current trend of constant improvement. Hazy sunshine pop has never sounded so good! The track is taken from their impending album Bend Beyond which is released on 18th September via Woodsist and promises to see the band exploring darker territory. Not on this track though, this is pure summer bliss!
